Report Fraud

Lost or Stolen Debit Card

Option 1: Immediately call 888-297-3416 (available 24 hours daily) to report your card lost or stolen. Please make sure to tell them your card is with The First Bank out of Hattiesburg, MS. Then notify The First during business hours at 1-855-257-2265.

Option 2: If you use mobile banking, you can report your card lost or stolen through the app. Select the account that your card is under, click Card Management, and report it lost / stolen as well as re-ordering a new card.

If you suspect fraud on your account, please contact our Fraud Center at 800-237-8990. Available 24 hours daily.

One minute later you will receive a text alert from 96923. 

The text alert has options for you to respond “yes” if the transaction is valid or “no” if the transaction is fraud.




PHONE CALL 


IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND
TO THE TEXT ALERT:


Five minutes later you will receive an automated phone call. 

This will be asking you to confirm or deny fraud. If fraud is confirmed, you will be connected to a fraud analyst.




AUTHORIZATION RESTRICTION 


TRANSACTION DECLINED:


If the transaction is fraud, follow the screen prompts. 

If the transaction is valid, contact The First Bank at 866-362-6477.
